Where our traffic comes from lately…

A quick look at Google Analytics showed us who we need to be thanking for all the referrals we’ve been getting lately. Of course Google is #1 by a landslide, but the following websites (listed in order of referrals) have sent considerable traffic (at least 200 visits) our way in the past month:

1. fixedgeargallery.com
2. facebook.com
3. fourteenteeth.com
4. prollyisnotprobably.com
5. trackosaurusrex.com
6. bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com
7. fixedgearbikes.blogspot.com
8. alleycat.hu
9. zlogblog.com
10. cyclingwmd.blogspot.com

11. bikesandthecity.blogspot.com
12. salsacycles.com
13. bicycledesign.blogspot.com
14. bikesfortherestofus.blogspot.com
15. milanofixed.com
16. chicksandbikes.blogspot.com
17. londoncyclist.co.uk
18. allhailtheblackmarket.com
19. redlinebicycles.com
20. bikecommuters.com
21. pedalconsumption.com

Whew, that’s a lot of links. Dig in, folks!

Didn’t expect to see traffic from Salsa so far up on this list. Would’ve expected to see traffic from sister-brand Surly instead (especially from their blog). Interesting. I wonder if the Casseroll Single banner that was up on UV’s page for a while had anything to do with it?

The top ten on the traffic list would suggest to me that:

    1. UV should consider more coverage of other types of urban bikes, beyond fixies/singlespeeds.
    2. Maybe fixies/singlespeeds will eventually dominate the urban (and even suburban and exurban?) bike market the way mountain bikes did in the 90′s, but perhaps UV should do #1 above in part to hedge against a possible (some would say imminent) decline of the latest fixie/singlespeed fad cycle (I say cycle because fixies/singlespeeds have come in and out of vogue for decades, though never with such strength as in the past few years).

Interesting to see this list. I’m certainly glad that my blog is sending some traffic your way. Now I need to check out the few blogs listed here that I am not already familiar with.

Goldsprints FX might not be sending a ton of traffic your way just yet but I have you listed in the blog roll just the same. :)
