MoBo’s Kid’s Night

Gettings kids on bikes is always a good thing, and volunteers at MoBo’s Kid’s Night have given away 89 bikes this summer alone. That’s a lot of wheels on a limited budget, and surely changing some underprivileged kids summer for the better.

Monday we usually leave the house around 3:30 and don’t get home until 9pm after clean up. Afterwards, we are emotionally and physically exhausted in a way we have never felt before. Dominic always comes home covered in dirt, sweat and grease but with a HUGE smile on his face. Most weeks, I am too tired to even talk, other weeks, my adrenaline is pumping so hard I can’t sleep.

My focus was to put kids on bikes. The kids in the neighborhood have next to nothing. Giving them a bike is like giving them a key to freedom. I’ve learned a few lessons along the way….
