I Love Riding in the City

Where do you live and what’s it like riding in your city?
I live in Kansas City, MO. Riding here was difficult in the past years, but nowadays people seem to be more accepting of cyclists on the road.

What’s been your favorite city to ride in, and why?
Hmm, it’d have to be right outside of Corvalis, OR. In an hour ride we saw city, farm, mountain, valley and had our fair share of logging trucks to keep us awake.

Why do you love riding in the city?
The excitement. There’s always something to look at, especially downtown. Actually, one of the main reasons I ride is to take pictures of what I see on the way. Not to mention the new-found alleycat community, you guys are like a second (cooler) family.

Or just say whatever you want about riding in the city... Poetry anyone?
Well, I’m no poet, but there’s a zen-like quality to riding in a city. I wouldn’t leave it for the world. And there is no greater joy than riding the streets with a camera strapped to your back.
