Condemned Tree to Beautiful Bike

Urban Tree to Bicycle from Spots Unknown on Vimeo.

Did you ever have a favorite tree as a kid or one that grew with you as a family member, but either during an ice storm (stupid winter of ’96!) or other reason it was brought down? Did a piece of you die with that tree? No?… Well, that’s just sad. Anyways, tree and bike devotees can continue the legacy of their personal trees through the woodworking artistry of Bill Holloway and Mauro Hernandez of Masterworks Woodworking. who turn condemned trees into rideable bike cruisers. The video gives a synopsis of their history and craft.

That’s astonishingly cool, both in concept and design. I could see a whole market for kids wooden training push bikes in that style.
