Bike Share Is Coming To Pittsburgh In 2014

With the sucess of bike share systems around the country and around the world in the past decade, it’s no surprise that smaller cities have their eye on the systems and the way they tend to attract and retain young talent in an area. After lots of hard work behind the scenes on the part of Bike Pittsburgh and other transportation planners the City of Pittsburgh is proud to announce that a 50 station, 500 bike system will debut next year. Having used and witnessed bike share systems in other cities, I’m excited to have one in Urban Velo’s hometown and you can bet I’ll from this point forward always have a membership card on hand for when out of towners pay a visit.
