Nice. I feel this way when I ride. I think it must be the pure concentration and mild adrenalin release that keeps me rooted in the NOW when I ride. So many things to monitor when riding. Traffic, how I feel, gear selction, route selection. My new mantra: The past is history, tomorrow is a mystery- right now is a gift- that's why they call it the present!

"The mind cannot think about more than one thing at a time."

Wishful thinking.
Riding no-hands and texting? Certainly! Looking at one's phone instead of the road? No problem! I meet these types of riders every day on my short commute.
"we are forced into the present moment while we are riding" - yeah, right. Multitasking, baby, multitasking.
