Wolfpack Hustle Civic Center Crit 2013

This is a great recap video from the Wolfpack Hustle Civic Center Crit race, with great finish line, crash and peloton footage. Starting and ending at City Hall in Downtown Los Angeles, it was a historical event for the city, as the first bike race to take place at City Hall (unless there’s a historian out there who could prove otherwise?) and the first Wolfpack-hosted criterium. The cycling community truly came together for this one, with

Providing every speed-craving cyclist with a platform for their own indulgence, both geared and fixed competitions were carried out on the wide, smooth L.A. streets. Separate women’s categories gave talented female riders a forum to showcase their ferocity alongside their male peers. Sun in the sky and a central location set the stage for a beautiful day of biking. CicLAvia precluded the races, lending extra impetus for racers and spectators to be a part of the fun – since they were already out and about. Did I mention there was also a freak bike category? Yeah, that happened too.

The second race in the 3-part series, crit and series standings are now up at Wolfpackhustle.com. Next up the 7th Street Drag Race – sure to be a hot one.

Wish there would have been more people there. Maybe next year as the word gets out.
