Bicycle Retailer has a little survey up on their website asking readers, “Who is your favorite cycling journalist?”
I’m sure I’ll lose by a dreadful margin, but maybe some of you folks will help me not look so bad. Visit www.bicycleretailer.com and vote in the poll to the right of the screen.

when I voted, you had 51%! ftw!
I don’t know, Jeff…I fear you don’t give yourself enough credit! Chalk up one more vote for you. Right now, you’re dominating the survey.
You were the best art director also at that last mag. It just isn’t as good now.
Dreadful margin, huh? It is looking like you are pull this off to me. You certainly got my vote.
I think Chipps is asleep at the wheel. Once he lets his legions know about the contest, he’ll win handily.
you’re up by about 200 votes when i just voted. plus, i just gave you a little love over at indycog.com. hopefully some of our readers will hop over and get you some action.
Jeff, don’t seel yourself short. A sizeable lead you have and shall retain.
you had a pretty big lead this morning!
hooray for social networking!
looks like you are still in the lead there Jeff, on another note there is a picture of you sportin the clysdale kit in the other magazine this month
On another note, that other magazine has a post on their forum looking for votes while complaining that others are doing the same. That’s like them.
bitches (reply to bill) You rock Jeff
I tell you for a fact that the “other” magazine’s forum went to hell when Jeff left. They just do not have a clue how to deal with people (that don’t always agree with them).
Wow! After dropping into third place in a slow and steady voting pattern, Maurice jumps into first place after gaining more than 500 votes in less than an hour–a voting increase which equals almost 25% of the total votes. Those guys really know how to stuff a ballot box.
Yeah, mountain bikers everywhere learned a thing or two from George Bush.
It was funny really. I went there to vote and you were up by over 200 votes, Mike Ferrentino was in second place, Maurice was in third with less than 400 votes. I was paging though the website and looking at this and that, and when I went back to the voting, Maurice had gained about 50 votes. So I refreshed the screen and he had gained another 4 or 5. I was on the internet for about another hour and before I turned in off, I went back to the poll and Maurice had gained about 500 votes from when I was there before.
Acorn would probably hire those guys for lessons on ballot box stuffing.
As predicted, Jeff did not come out on top but we all know who really won. And lost, big. Thanks for the support everyone!
Those guys must be really pissed about your success with your new magazine.
I mentioned this on a thread on dirtrag’s forum when they were asking for votes. They pulled the thread.
