Velocity has been listening to feedback from the fixed freestyle and bike polo crowd. These riders want a stronger rim—one that’s even burlier than their venerable 700c Deep V. The answer, it turns out, was as simple as re-issuing their mountain bike Deep V ATB rim in 700c diameter. It’s 32mm deep x 24mm wide as opposed to 30mm deep and 19mm wide.
The new rim is called the Chukker. Velocity would like your input on what drillings they should make available. They plan on offering their standard anodized colors with non-machined sidewalls (to keep the cost down). Visit velocityusa.blogspot.com for more info.

Isn’t it 32mm deep x 24mm wide? 32mm wide sounds a bit too much, and if its only 24mm deep then it’s wider than it is deep!
yes, it’s supposed to be 32mm deep and 24mm wide. They just got the numbers switched in the wording.
Hopefully a 48h will be offered in 26″ and 700c. And Velocity: please, please, please offer machined sidewalls. Many of us polo players actually use brakes!
You can allways just buff the sidewalls with a dremel tool to get that machined quality for Brakes.
Oops… Yes, 32mm deep, 24mm wide. I corrected the post. Thanks for catching that!
Sweet! Perfect for us larger folks to use as urban commuter rims!
Yeah, why do they want them only for polo? Non-machined sidewalls work fine with brakes.
that is a fucking lie ,brakes do not work fine on the non machined sidewalls they work like shit.
Any Idea when this will be available and what the price point would be? I’d like to start with just the rear wheel. I heard they’d be out late May.?
what would u perfer a rear chukker or a halo freedom 29er for my fixie i weigh about 230 i need imput
