Bike storage is an ever evolving challenge based on how many bikes you own, where they are kept, and your aesthetic sensibilities of that space. For people with a single bike or a around town ride always on hand in a cramped space, wall mounted bike racks can be a way to go. We’ve posted about a fancy wooden bike shelf before, with another one featured here fromUrban City Bike Shelves. These shelves are available for $150 and are made of maplewood with a wax finish, measuring 12 in across and about 11 in out from the wall. The design works best with level top-tube bikes by nature of how it holds the bike, but a bit of slope will likely still hold. Custom dimensions are available if you happen to run super wide bars or otherwise need a non-standard shelf built.

I can see a practical side to this thing: keeps the bike off the floor, making vacuuming easier. The shelf can hold a helmet and other bike accessories. Not a bad product. Have to agree with Bike Snob NYC about the price, though: too steep for such a simple product.
