Speaking of a Maxit headgator, I used to buy one when I was a student and visited the USA in 2007. Helped me very much to overcome evening colds in Reno NV as it turned towards fall (((-: Worked much better than a beanie under a helmet. I still have it, although it seems to have worn thin in some places.
Now I can see Buffs available even in my hometown of Krivoy Rog, Ukraine. Guess I need to try one out.

I agree with Squid. The maxit headgator is the best. It hit the market in 1985 and the BUFF, although more expensive, is just another cheap "knockoff". It can be hard to find the headgator but it's totally worth the effort. I know it's available online at stretching.com, drillspot.com, opticsplanet.com or just do an internet search for "headgator" to find a source. You won't regret it!

I have a winter buff and it works great. Not as stylish as a winter scarf but much better at keeping you warm without being unwieldy. I haven't tried it on my bike but at tomorrow night's Crit Mass in Madrid the weather might call for it.
