The BikeSpike GPS Tracker
The BikeSpike is a GPS tracker designed and developed in Chicago by engineering collective Three Man Rocket and digital innovation house ColorJarwith an option to use built in crash detection for automatic notification in a serious accident. The tracker can be used to map and track your riding like other GPS apps and computers, but since it is attached to your bike and has a built in cellular antenna can be used to track the location of your prized ride real time on a map in case of theft. An open API allows other developers to create games and other ways to track the available data. It’s a lofty project that is asking for $150,000 of Kickstarter funding for the first run, partially due to the complications in getting FCC approval for a cellular device. A built-in black box tracker is a device I’ve heard a lot of people mention always wanting, and this may be the chance to make it a reality.

It should look like a bottle cage, that’d be super incognito.

A straight ripoff of the SpyBike, with a lot of needless stuff and lacking true innovation. Also missing a lot of features that SpyBike has.
