Surly Crosscheck and Long Haul Trucker Forks Now With More Bolts

The Surly Bikes crew is quite obviously a big fan of riding bikes, and part of riding bikes everyday is being able to carry or attach whatever it is that you need to bring with you along for the ride. It’s not groundbreaking by any means, but the casting for the Surly Crosscheck and Long Haul Trucker fork crowns has been updated this year with a molded in Surly logo and more importantly another pair of bolts. Now sporting dropout level fender eyelets, mid-blade lowrider rack mounts and crown mounted bolts for whatever rack you may imagine. Perhaps we’ll eventually see a front rack made to fit these extra mounting points, until then it’s up to your imagination.

A crown-level bolt is a fine place to mount a light, with a Paul Gino Mount or Nitto’s version. Well done.

superb , been looking for ages for a fork that can be purchased off the peg with braze ons to fit a porteur rack , the surly’s will now be perfect , well done guys for showing a bit of intelligence in design.

Great idea but with my first year 1″ fork crosscheck won’t be happening for me I guess.

This was an unexpected surprise on my new disc trucker: Braze-ons you never knew existed and can’t possibly live without!

These holes made it MUCH easier to fish my dyno-hub wire up through the fork blade for a very clean generator-headlight setup. Awesome. I don’t know how i would have done it without the extra hole!

My extra lights are also bolted here…and i can still put on lowriders AND fenders!
