It sounds corny,but my favorite bike is the one i built from spare parts.I poured my blood sweat and tears into that bike.

I haven’t bought a brand new bike since 1996 and I honestly don’t think I will with how much the value drops of new bikes in a few months (like a new car).
The beauty of used bikes is that within 20 seconds you can see 99% of the problems with it versus a used car where a problem can creep up weeks (sometimes months) later.
