Spurcycle entered the scene with the modular Grip Rings last season, and recently debuted their newest project, the Ringer. Bells are effective with pedestrians and fellow cyclists on the road and shared use paths, but can be bulky and a less-than-ideal fit for certain urban bikes in both mounting, size and aesthetics. The Ringer mounts with a single bolt to most any bar between 22 – 32 mm in diameter, in either a horizontal or vertical position. The compact bell has a simple thumb dinger that allows to single or double ding to alert your intentions, and a pleasant but loud report. The Ringer is designed to not rattle, even on mountain bikes and is made in the USA from durable stainless steel, aluminum and brass. The Kickstarter has far surpassed the goal, but there is still time to pre-order your $35 Ringer if you’re interested.
