Sparse Bicycle Lights
Theft resistant lighting is clearly desired by people using their bike in everyday life—everyone has a story about losing lights to theft, and there have been a couple of crowd-sourced Kickstarter projects looking to solve the problem. Sparse.cc is the latest, with their USB rechargeable lights to slip over the steerer tube and seatpost (front/rear respectively, duh) making them harder for the amateur thief or vandal to remove. Great looking design in my opinion, though I can think of times it may interfere with cable routing or stem setup, and not sure if I’d be able to always have my bike within reach of a wall outlet for recharging. Judging that it is already half way to the $45,000 funding goal for a first production run plenty of other people out there are also intrigued.
