SlingFin Honey Badger Backpack

Man, there are some BAD ideas on Kickstarter, from the stupid to the downright dangerous, so I was a little skeptical at this product, based solely on the name Honey Badger. There has already been a (successful) push to capitalize on the Honey Badger meme, so I assumed this was more about humorous content than it was a legitimate product. I was wrong. This pannier-turn-pack is designed and crafted by ex-founders and employees of Mountain Hardware, and that sort of credibility can’t be doubted. Despite the name, the pack looks both unique and sleek and the functionality is versatile and durable. The pack is absent of both an internal and external frame due to its unique design and materials. It is crafted using minimalist materials and of such that repairs can be made by the user themselves with just some zip-ties and other common items. The incentive price point to actually get a pack is seemingly steep at $175, but for cyclists and outdoor gear heads this is a steal for a pack that mounts easily to your bike and does double duty as a daypack, climbing pack, and everything else shown in the video. The complete departure from traditional pack and pannier design is quite exciting and for this reason alone I hope it gets funded.
