I'm getting this news extremely late (bit of a hiatus from the scene), but it does not lessen the impact. Sheldon, you will always be a Crusader, Trail Blazer and Inspiration........ your legacy lives on in everyone that has even briefly glanced your way.

To the perfect, everlasting ride..... RIP

Such a shock! I'd emailed him several times with wrenching questions and ALWAYS received a quick and helpful reply...I also sent my "Fixed Gear Testimonial" to him and received a warm "...welcome to the club..." response. I've learned so much from his work...my sympathies to his family.

Very sad news. The man was (is) a legend even here in Australia. His family can be proud that he made the world a better place through his passion for cycling and passion for helping people. I have never been religious, but right now I really hope there is a place where good souls like Sheldon can go after they pass on. Somewhere with no cars. Ride In Peace Sheldon
