Having seen the video for the scraper bike song ages ago (at least the first part of it), I thought it was a pretty silly. It looked like a joke, but just not very funny. When I saw this post I groaned softly and said to myself “enough already.” When I watched the video I started to “get it” a little. You can his enthusiasm in his face as he talks about colors, themes and such. They’re proud of this, and that’s good. It appealed to the artist in me just a bit. It’s not really something I’d be interested in being a part of, but I can sort understand why now.
Yea bikes! More bikes is a good thing.
Remember, this is not for the masses. It’s for the kids. Specifically for kids who need more positivity in their lives.
ive been working on getting parts for a scraper bike. Im gonna bring it to the east coast. that old youtube video is so silly, i didnt think anyone took it seriously, the kid even says hes lookin “hella retarded”. well, “cruisin on ma scraper bike, on ma scraper bike, on ma scraper bike”. more bikes are always a plus though.
I’ll support anything that gets people stoked on bikes.
I’ve read a lot of forums and comments bashing scraper bikes and saying that they are stupid but how is that any different from any other clique like fixie-riding hipsters, skaters, flatland bmx kids, or even velo clubs? Why would you bash a bunch of friends who are just out there havin’ clean, nonviolent, (relatively) nondestructive fun? At least they ain’t cappin’ each other!
interesting, cool idea, I just hope it progresses into higher quality work
What do we have here? Handlebars I don’t even have to steer!
why is it called handlebars b/c its really handlesbar, its one bar with 2 handles
