Queen Bee Studio Visit

Like many companies out there, Queen Bee started small. Back in 1996 founder Rebecca Pearcy began making the first Queen Bee designs in the corner of her bedroom, right in the midst of the Riot Grrrl movement. Since then the company has gone on to create a number of female oriented bags, totes and wallets along with dabbling in custom bicycle pannier designs at times.

Look for a re-introduction of some of the more stylish panniers I’ve ever seen later this year if all goes right with the new ounting design. Queen Bee has recently opened a new studio and production facility in Portland, OR and I had the opportunity to stop through a few weeks ago and get some pictures of the operations.
