Pro-tec Riot Street Helmet
Pro-tec is one of, if no the, original skate and bmx helmet manufacturers. When many people think aggressive street riding, they picture some young buck in a Pro-tec lid skying over a staircase.
For 2012 they’re bringing their helmet expertise to the current urban cycling scene with the Riot Street, an $89 helmet with an integrated visor similar to some other brands we’re all familiar with. The helmet is remarkably light with an in-mold shell and internal channels for ventilation.

Original is not a word I would use in the same sentence as this manufacture. If you want the original integrated visor design and not the blatant rip-off get a Bern.

Good to see Pro-tec offering another bill style. I’ve been running their 2-Face water helmet for years.
Has Bern been around longer than Pro-tec? I thought Pro-tec has been around since the 70′s.
Not sure…I like this style cuz it looks like the Pro-tec Classic with a bill. That style has been copied by
everybody.

It’s rad to see Pro-tec branching out into newer styles. I’ve been running their skate lids since the ealy 80′s. They are without a doubt one of the original helmet brands, not even sure who Bern is.

Pro-Tec’s been around since ’73, way before all the knock-off Brands copied their Classic helmet shape. Adding a bill to their Classic shape probably didn’t take a genius since the billed style has been trending! Why rock a poser when you can rock the original….
