The seatpost mounted clip-on fender is one of those accessories that people actually use. I know mine is in regular use throughout the warmer months when it just might rain on the way home, or I want to avoid a skunk stripe on an errant puddle. The Portland Design Works Machete fender is the same design we’ve all grown to love, but in metal. The aluminum fender has a bolt on, hinged clamp for easy swapping between bikes and a sturdy fit on 25.4-29.0 mm seatposts.
The polished one is striking, a classy clip-on if there ever was such a thing. The clamp angle is not adjustable, but I’ve never found that a particular hindrance on an all-plastic variation I’ve had for years and years. The $42 Machete is available in polished aluminum or black and weighs in around 200 g complete.

Can we get a model that is a real machete as well just in case when riding through rough areas or dealing with irate motorists?
Wow that joint looks super slick! I’m def gonna cop one of those. I’ve been riding for a a little bit ANC have this ugly black fender with oragne on it that matches absolutely nothing. Now I got fuckin options! Hooray
Damn, I need to get one of these (in black). I think I’m becoming a PDW fan boy..having the speed metal grips, rad bot 1000, 3wrencho.
