This past weekend, several female participants in Seattle’s World Naked Bike Ride event were stopped by police and ordered to cover their breasts. Eyewitness accounts say the Seattle police told the women, “It is illegal to expose their nipples in public unless they are breastfeeding.”

I think its bullshit that women have to cover up just because their bodies are sexualized in our society. I’m not too into that hippie-dippy, run everywhere naked for the sake of it shit personally, but if guys are allowed to bike around topless, I don’t really see a good reason why women shouldn’t be allowed either. It’s been getting somewhat hot in Seattle too, so this makes this law all that more impractical and out-dated.
I am fine with girls riding bikes without clothes.
