Pittsburgh’s 5th Annual BikeFest Aug 14-23

09bikefest500x300 Pittsburgh’s 5th annual BikeFest starts in just a few days, running August 14-23. It all begins with a kickoff party on the evening of the 14th which tends to be one of the parties people in town talk about all year. Held at the Pittsburgh Opera House this year, this is a significant fundraiser for BikePGH’s advocacy efforts and promises to be good time, with a number of local cycling groups having a presence. The rest of the dates are filled with rides, races and bike gatherings all over town. Whether you’re looking for an easy-going tour of the local murals, a look at forgotten greenspace or fast-paced crit and alleycat racing there is something on the calendar for you.

  • I can’t wait! I’m actually going down to Pittsburgh to check out some of the events! Should be fun especially considering how I’ve never been to Pittsburgh before…
