Pittsburgh Cyclists Honor Fallen Police Officers

Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling ClubThis morning, more than 200 cyclists gathered for a memorial ride to honor three fallen Pittsburgh police officers.

The ride, organized by the Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club and the Western Pennsylvania Wheelmen, drew a diverse crowd. Pittsburgh city councilman (and mayoral hopeful), Patrick Dowd, rode along and briefly addressed the crowd at the Zone 5 police headquarters.

If you couldn’t be at the event, but would like to donate to the families of the deceased officers, you can do so through the Fraternal Order of Police website.
