Pedal Powered Rollercoaster

sky cycleRollercoaster enthusiasts who visit Washuzan Highland Park in Japan don’t just have to wait in line to ride the Skycycle. They have to pedal it uphill! The unique, green rollercoaster is pedal powered and seems to boast some amazing views, as well. The only electricity the Skycycle uses is for nighttime illumination, and maybe Japanese engineers will remedy that sooner or later.

I’m not scared to admit it… that looks terrifying.

I don’t understand why there are brakes on the cars… that seems most dangerous of all.

Brian: I’m guessing it’s to help stop you.

    For example:
    - someone slower in front of you
    - coming to the end of the ride
