The 5th annual North American Handmade Bicycle Show is coming up fast, February 27 – March 1, 2009, this time held in Indianapolis IN. This is the show for bike nerds to attend, there is no comparable gathering of so many artisan bicycle manufacturers in one place, and likely not a single room in the world besides NAHBS with such a depth of bicycle knowledge spread between the exhibitors. Interbike may be bigger, but NAHBS is better. If you walk away from NAHBS without learning a thing or two you either aren’t paying attention or are an absolute bicycle master – I’d bet on the former even if your surname is Colnago.
This is the first visit NAHBS has made to the mid-west and will likely prove to be an eye-opening experience for the large and under-recognized cycling population that resides within driving distance. For those unable to attend, Urban Velo will be there with coverage bigger and better than last year’s 300+ studio images.

Bike dudes in Indy are super stoked. Critical Mass meets Friday, 5:30p at Obelisk Park near the intersection of Meridian & North. Just FYI.
I was not even aware of this event, being much more familiar with InterBike. Thanks for posting this info–now, on to last years pics!
I look forward to the best pics on the interweb from the event (again). You guy’s rock!
