NAHBS 2010 Day 2

NAHBS 2010 Day 2 is here and gone, with 200+ images in the following gallery. We’ve seen bikes of all shapes and sizes—from steel utility bikes with cargo racks and panniers to ultra-lightweight composite racing frames. And perhaps most important are the builders, who’ve come from far and near, all talented in their own way. They pour their heart and soul into their two-wheeled creations, each one a representation of their personality and individuality.

  • Thank you for the wonderful photographs.

  • Cool pictures! I’d look at a lot more of them if they were in some kind of a slideshow so I didn’t have to click a number of times to look at each one.

  • Best NAHBS coverage on the Web, as always — such beautiful pictures of gorgeous bikes!

I wish there was some sort of caption for the photos, though, so we knew what we were looking at (maker, unique features, etc.). For example, what’s up with that Ground Up bike? Is that a battery assist or some sort of flamethrower?

    Slideshow would be nice, too…

  • why don’t you guys ever upload these as sets to Flickr? I love looking at the pics but viewing all of them via the UV site is incredibly slow… and I have to echo the comments above about having some sort of brief description as to what we’re looking at.

A link to a flickr set or slideshow would be so much more enjoyable, and faster to view for your readers.

  • Great photo’s — thnaks

  • Great photos. Thanks for taking the time and effort to put out quality coverage, for free.

I’d like to see more representation from the dirt world at this show. Where are the handmade DH/freeride/DJ frame builders?

I look forward to more photos!

  • It’s cool to see a lot more ‘cross-inspired bikes this year. You can always tell where the culture and style trends have been the past year and where they will likely be headed from shows like these. It’s nice to see NAHBS trending away from the “all track bikes” era.

  • cross builds are smart, it’s most folks coveted next bike aka they sell.

photos are great. good on ya for overcoming obstacles. the builders are at another level this year.

new categories this year for wheelbase (geekhouse wins!) frankenblingbikes and monstercrossers.

and a new issue sat. night to boot?! you kids and your crazy energy. awesome. keep the fires burning.

  • Okay, so the pump pressurizes the tank, the tank goes to some sort of box thing with a switch, and sprays an oil slick? Or maybe napalm to quell the competition.

  • thanks but it would take roughly a year to go through otherwise great photos

  • It was totally a flamethrower. The guys had a couple of photos of it in action. Looked cray-zee.

  • Came for the flame thrower explanation. Leaving happy.
Thanks for taking and putting up these pics every year guys!

  • Beautiful pictures of amazing bikes, you captured the beauty of my wife’s YiPsan “Sunflower” :)

Thanks for the great coverage once again!

  • 1+ on the Flickr.

These photographs do not display the full resolution either, but they would at Flickr.
