Now here’s a shocker—a downhill mountain biker got busted with some weed. The thing is, it was none other than Missy the Missle, two-time UCI World Cup Champion. The police say they’ve recovered something like 400 pounds of pot. According to Velo News, Missy was set up by an informant.
Them bike racers. If they ain’t taking drugs they’re selling ‘em. Way to screw up your life, Missy. No bikes in prison.
That’s some bullshit! Another nonviolent “offender” being made an example of. I am constantly amazed that alcohol is the legal drug while pot is made out to be this evil entity. Go around and ask police how many people they’ve had to forcefully take down that were high on pot versus alcohol. Not that police are a good benchmark for basing anything on, but it’s still pretty startling. Best of luck to Missy and anyone that wants to criticize her without knowing her personal situation is just making gross assumptions.

Pro bikers need to careful of the local laws when traveling around so much. Not every state allows you to carry 400lbs of weed on your person for personal use.

Trafficing any illegal drug has it’s major drawbacks. Lot’s of money to be made, but the price you pay is very high if the law catches up to you. She lost the gamble.
Personally I hope she skips town, goes the way of the ghost and has a good life, never to be heard of again. Weed will be legal in the not too distant future anyway.
