Meet 86 Year Old Paperboy Bud Shaefer

Kare 11 out of Minneapolis recently reported on Bud Shaefer, an 86 year old paperboy making his rounds by bike, the real way a paperboy is supposed to do it. Everyone turns onto bikes at a different age, and it was just four years ago that Bud’s children bought him a new bike and he picked up regular riding.

Basket loaded with Rochester Post-Bulletins, every afternoon at 3:00 the grandfather begins his deliveries.

“Some think I have to do this for a living,” he offers. “I don’t do it for the pay, I’ll tell you that much, because there ain’t that much in it.”
