Loud Bicycle Car Horn
Amongst friends I frequently joke about using my built-in horn, my loud mouth, when riding in traffic. It’s pretty effective, but no match to a car horn in either decibel level or the ability to make people stop in their tracks. Pedestrians and drivers are pretty well trained to stop what they’re doing, or at least hit the brakes and take a look around. Engineer Jonathan Lansley has created the Loud Bicycle car horn for cyclists, and is looking to bring it into mass production through a Kickstarter campaign. The horn creates two tones together, just like a car horn, and features a rechargeable battery that should give a month or two of honks per charge. It weighs in at 23 ounces, and promises to be made in the USA.
