Look Mum No Hands!

When I stumbled onto the Look Mum No Hands site I thought I was looking at a London based graphic design agency with a minor obsession for bikes, but then realized it was an online store of some sorts, but then maybe a bike shop, but then maybe a coffee shop. Turns out, save the graphic design agency, all the above is true. Look Mum No Hands defines itself as a “cycle cafe”, which is a little lacking considering all they have going on.

According to their site they have an equal obsession for coffee as they do for bikes and so have opened a cafe dedicated to good coffee, but also filled with bike related items and which houses two bike mechanics as well as hosts any number of social events. Today they are celebrating the release of the book “The Solar Cycle Diaries” (see post to come), but also have workshops, music shows etc.

And if that isn’t enough, they also have an online shop stocked with cutesy bike items bolstered by a refined sense of design and aesthetics. You might also be stoked to know they sell beer too.

We cyclists like our incestuous cultures (bikes, coffee, beer, style) and it’s always awesome to see them brought together in a Deliverance-like love fest such as this. Feel free to plug similar cultural gryphons we have here in the States in the comment section.
