'Back when "fanny packs" were fashionable(late 80's), I got one and thought "Damn , I really hope these things stay popular" because they are so useful (especially when you had a cassette player and cassettes). I have no doubt that I would make use of one of these because it is a pain to just carry your wallet, keys, phone, plus whatever else if you ride a bike like tools and maybe a camera or something to eat and a U lock. My PAC would be overkill for many of my evening rides yet I need something to hold the basics and my pockets just wont do.

I'll be honest I'd love a smaller bag to take with me but I'll be damned if I'm going to wear some old Bugle Boy fanny pack on my daily ride. I'd love to see these hit production. Even if it doesn't this doesn't seem like to difficult a design to make on my own.

Are you kidding..I know plenty of hipsters riding around with shitty zippered fanny bags from the 80'z. Especially the neon, they love the attention. Let's keep it real though, if it is made well like the Lemolo or ReLoad bags...people will buy. Made to last is the biggest concern. Norman Porter Company out of Allentown,PA makes a solid bag too.

The hipster's could check my basement storage boxes. I bet I have a dozen fanny packs! They were pretty useful though.

How did you like the way the hip-pack fit sans u-lock? I bought a ReLoad hip-pack a few years ago, and my biggest complaint is that it hung loosely on my hip when the holster was empty. It might have had partly to do with the placement of the holster on the bag itself - it was kind of centered, making it easy for the bag to flop downward. This hip-pack has a similar design, but it looks like the holster might be placed towards the top?

my biggest issue with all of these belts that use a 2" strap is that the strap eventually wears down and bunches into a little cord after some use. companies need to make a strap that won't destroy itself, or weight the bags so when you do end up putting it on your pants belt, it doesn't tip over on your belt when you have a u-lock in it.

Fabric Horse had a good idea with the half belt where the belt was integrated but it doesn't allow for much personal preference when it comes to pouch placement.
