Lance Armstrong is Nothing
From The New Yorker:
There has never been a more visible symbol in American sports of a man who just won’t quit.
That is why I am so deeply appalled by his announcement yesterday that he would no longer fight the charges against him. He said he was tired of the fight. Tired? Really? Armstrong made it clear on several occasions he would fight to the death.

Don’t be fooled, he’s only waiting for the penalties to be assessed so he can then appeal to the CAS. Keeps the public release of evidence to a minimum, which minimizes damage to his reputation if CAS overturns the rulings (which they likely might).

Maybe he just realized that they can get all the whiteout or pencil erasers in the world, but those titles will always be his.

So I guess the USADA is admitting that all those tests they give for doping are useless because they never caught this doper?
So are their tests still useless?

Guys,
get over it. He has no chance to win against the evidences collected by the USADA. So he’s giving up and playing the victim. It’s an old (and childish) game.
For those who wanted to read or listen, the evidences were already there since 1999, when he was caught positive for steroids during the Tour de France, and he invented a pitiable story about a pommade against an inflammation, but he hadn’t previoulsy declared its assumption to the race’s officers, and he never presented a medical certificate for it.
His generous “donations” to the UCI bought him the complaisance of UCI and ASO, and his mafia-like intimidating style, together with a lot of extra-judicial settlements, ensured the silence of many key witnesses.
Unfortunately for him he can’t hide forever…

He is giving up to protect his protectors…and because he can’t run forever. They all doped. Get over it.
