Last issue our main feature was on L.A. Bike Life, but it seems we missed one part of the scene, the Department of DIY. Pictures above is the latest sighting of homespun signage spotted in town over at the LA.Streetsblog.org.

In both cases the DIY campaigns were the precursors for official campaigns by the city. In 2010, the City of L.A. began installing Sharrows across the city, an effort that continues until today. In the case of the safety signs, it was only a handful of months later that the city launched “Give Me 3″
