Knog Blinder 1
Knog recectly introduced the Knog Blinder 1 to it’s product line, joining the Blinder line of USB rechargeable blinkie lights. I reviewed the Blinder 4 a few months ago and they have fast become my go-to lights that switch between bikes and recharge quick enough to rarely leave me scrambling. The Blinder 1 is a smaller version, weighing in at a mere 15 g each with a similar USB recharging and soft switch system, not to mention the completely waterproof body and strap design. The LED for the front is rated at 20 lumens, the red rear at 11 lumens for people keeping track–they’re pretty bright for a single LED light.
I couldn’t take pictures at Eurobike, but did see a working version of a new, higher end light from Knog to be announced soon. It goes with the USB rechargeable and waterproof theme as one could expect, has a more robust and replaceable silicone mounting strap, and is solidly in the “to see” category of front light. The thing is bright, a couple of hundred lumens like the best of category rechargeable lights on the market.
