I think it's awesome that Roller Racing is picking up steam. I'm on the West coast and race road, mountain, and cross...so sometimes I'm super serious and sometimes I just wanna have fun, but still throw down. Every event that I've been to that Murph has organized has been off the hook....bikes, beer, food, killer prizes and peeps from all walks of the cycling scene.
And Murphy ain't no one-trick pony neither....the inaugural Mixed-terrain enduro event was sick....90+ miles with a mix of rocky descents, smooth roads, steep roads steep singletrack just the right, brutal mix of it all. And fully supported checkpoints! PBR, whiskey, Cliff shot or chips?! yea!

Much as I'd love to support the East Coasters (I'm from Boston), Murphy's West Coast events just can't be beat. We hosted one night at our Sacramento shop and it was freakin' rad: http://mikesbikes.com/page.cfm?PageID=291

West Siiiiide!

I don't know what the east coast events are like, but I've been to a bunch of the West Coast Roller Racing ones and they've all been fantastic. Some people take it seriously and there's serious competition, but there's also room to just take a spin for the fun of it. AND - BeerSprints!

Here's a video from the Rapha event they put on last year w/ WWGS:

Don't know anything about the other one, but I will say that the ones that Murphy puts on (a/k/a "West Coast", the one on the left up there) are always crazy fun.

Either one's probably gonna be a good time, but for sheer craziness (and you're racing stationary bikes, so clearly you want crazy), I'd count on Murphy
