IKASE Tablet Holder

As summer winds down some people will find themselves on a trainer this winter. While I’ve never been one for doing much more than watching TV on an indoor trainer, people hooked to their tablets may find the $40 IKASE from Alt-Gear may make the trainer that much more enjoyable. It holds the tablet securely, rotates 180°, and has an opening for a power cord. I wouldn’t recommend actually riding with one of these attached to your bike, but I guess it’s only a matter of time before people are using a tablet on the bike trails.

I have a Galaxy Note and a rudimentary set up similar to this that I use. Convenient for exploring small unfamiliar back roads and making touring or Strava maps. A full size Ipad would be cumbersome, I feel and I’d worry about its weight and balance when hitting bumps.

Perfect target practice. Anyone riding with an active, operating tablet, I mean.
