I viewed “I hate people on bikes ont road” and another similar page on FB – what a bunch of morons. They complain about cyclists breaking traffic laws and how cyclists impede their right to go at the speed limit at all times. I wonder how often they are actually breaking the law by exceeding the speed limit (or driving after chugging a few to many beers), They are also deluded about how roads are paid for.

Probably most are either Limbots or Beckerheads.

man people are great, just the other day i was riding to work when a suv full of girls swerved at me trying to push me off the road and then at the next red light pepper sprayed me…i thought state college was a bike friendly town..assholes

Yeah, I joined this group and commented as soon as I saw that Brad and Chad joined. Cyclists either are pr will be the majorit shortly.

there’s a thin line with this kind of group.
You can’t tell whether it is to be taken as a joke,
or if it’s a hate group that is or will incite violent action.

Then again my bosses wife just said to me at the office holiday party
“Oh I just hate bicycles in the road, they don’t follow the rules!
you don’t do that do you?”
(I half expected her to be the leader of this FB group)

Then my boss explained to her how I have been hit by a car twice in the past year. (on my way to work no less)

I believe this can all be summed up with a classic line
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game”

Can I start a facebook group titled “I hate people that don’t know the difference between ‘there’ and ‘their?’”

As for the body bag reference above, I’m of the opinion that it is self defeating for the cycling community to join in with the haters in exaggerating the dangers of cycling.
