Well that just seems like a positive, fun loving community now doesn’t it? If it wasn’t for cars, people would totally loose the ability to be out of shape, pollute the environment, and act like a total jackass at the same time. Now, where would we all be without that?
there is actually a website for people who dislike others using the roads as they have every right to do?
Let’s see, as a cyclist who has been hit by careless lawbreaking drivers myself, I certainly hope anybody contributing to or posting cyclist-bashing comments on such a web site has it brought up in court should they ever be involved in an accident on the roadway, as, statistically, even careful people are at some point in their lives. Think about it, all you lawyers out there: here are a group of people who, at best, are saying they don’t think bikes should be on the street, hence, they have basically admitted carelessness, since people don’t look for things they don’t think should be there. Wow, if I was a lawyer I’d see a big dollar dollar sign on every bike hating moron that posted to such a website.
Then there’s the fact that cyclists have been on the roads for over a hudnred and twenty years — anyone who could not get used to us by now must be hopelessly unable to function at all, let alone use the roads, so why do they have licenses?
with the number of cyclists getting killed on our roads each year, it is amazing that a group like this would appear. Don’t they get enough satisfaction just seeing the body bags. there is a lot of hate directed at cyclists. Some of it is deserved. Drivers gets really pissed when they see cyclists running stop signs and red lights. That seems to be their biggest complaint. Believe me as a cyclist I understand why sometimes it is better to run the stop or red light, but they dont. So, if there are drivers viewing, I usually stop. You should too.
Can I start a facebook group titled “I hate people that don’t know the difference between ‘there’ and ‘their?’”
As for the body bag reference above, I’m of the opinion that it is self defeating for the cycling community to join in with the haters in exaggerating the dangers of cycling.

You can’t tell whether it is to be taken as a joke,
or if it’s a hate group that is or will incite violent action.
Then again my bosses wife just said to me at the office holiday party
“Oh I just hate bicycles in the road, they don’t follow the rules!
you don’t do that do you?”
(I half expected her to be the leader of this FB group)
Then my boss explained to her how I have been hit by a car twice in the past year. (on my way to work no less)
I believe this can all be summed up with a classic line
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game”
man people are great, just the other day i was riding to work when a suv full of girls swerved at me trying to push me off the road and then at the next red light pepper sprayed me…i thought state college was a bike friendly town..assholes
I viewed “I hate people on bikes ont road” and another similar page on FB – what a bunch of morons. They complain about cyclists breaking traffic laws and how cyclists impede their right to go at the speed limit at all times. I wonder how often they are actually breaking the law by exceeding the speed limit (or driving after chugging a few to many beers), They are also deluded about how roads are paid for.

Its ok she just hates the people on the bikes but not the bike itself. As long as someone is feelin the love all is well.
