Halekai Machine Cable Clamps

Sometimes it is the small parts that make all the difference in a final build of a bike. It’s easy to spec out a quality group from major manufacturers, but it can come down to the small bits that aren’t easily available to really finish things off right. Case in point, the pictured cable clamps from Halekai Machine. Custom done for a high end road fixed gear frame without cable stops, the clamps blend into the overall build without calling attention, much as they should. Where other clamps scream “cheap” these fit a modern day serious bike without compromising the build, adding a functional finishing touch many times overlooked for the sake of what is readily available. It may look small, but there is a fair amount of labor involved in making a clean piece like this. No word on price—if you have to ask, you likely aren’t really in the market for small, custom bits like these.

Hey Brad, glad to see you posted these. Here are a few snaps of the bike with the clips installed: http://www.flickr.com/photos/onetwentyeight/sets/72157629206925176
