GoogleMapsBikeThere.org was created to ask Google to help make the world safer for bicyclists by adding bicycle routes to Google Maps. Consider signing the petition, Google just might listen. Adding the “Bike There” option to the Google Maps toolbar of “Drive There” and “Take Public Transit” would be a valuable tool for both everyday and new cyclists to find routes, at home and on the road.

4333 at my signing…I really hope this goes through. It would be incredibly helpful.
4946. I hope they do it. I work for Google, and damn if they don’t own me one right about now!
I was number 911.
In Atlanta we’ve created our own. It will show elevation changes and can be configured to choose quieter streets and fewer climbs. And you can include a stretch on the transit system if you’re feeling lazy. See trip.atltransit.com to see what Google should model from.
I just cruised by trip.atl.transit good job…that tool is awesome. The “bike there” option is incredible…I am jealous…Google could learn a thing or two from that model. Great job ATL!
