The same people who will ride this bike are the same people that wear the really goofy hats on the ski hill, which says hey I’m trying, but please stay out of my way because I have no idea what I’m doing.

I wouldn’t place much weight in “fixed freestyle” riders still preferring steel over aluminum. They also prefer to ride the completely wrong bike and reinvent the wheel for what they’re interested in doing.

I’ve always been a fan of Giant, in that they provide a quality product with decent support for the same (or lower) price than big-box retailers, and their road and mountain bikes arguably take a back seat to no one. That being said, The dearth of steel in their lineup makes it highly unlikely that I’ll ever purchase one. Even Trek’s got whatever passes for the old Filmore these days.
