George St Bike Challenge – July 27, 2008

As mentioned in Urban Velo #8 in Fastest Man on Two Wheels Honored at Last, the George St Bike Challenge is coming at you for 2008 on July 27th in downtown Worcester, MA. This is the legendary 18% grade street that Major Taylor trained on during his racing days that now hosts this race against the clock in his honor. The $15 entry fee goes towards the Major Taylor Association to help them continue their education efforts and maintain the bronze statue of this important figure of American sports history.
