I just spotted this over at Cyclelicious… The Montague Boston has 700c wheels and a flip-flop hub so you can run it fixed or free. Expect to pay about $700. Read more over at www.montagueco.com.

the little-wheeled ones are fun, too:

pretty nice bike, but does a folding bike with 700′s qualify as small enough to take on amtrak or other public transit? at least for me, that’s one of the main reasons i have for buying a folding.
I don’t think it matters how big the wheels are when taking it on public transportation, as long as the bike is folded. I actually saw someone with a full-sized folding bike on the train a few months ago, and he had no problems. He didn’t even have a case for it, and nobody stopped him. Once it’s folded, the width is narrow. This one does look pretty cool too. I like that they’re finally going for the 700c single-speed.
I specifically asked Montague this very question at the Interbike trade show. They said that yes, most people have no problem using their bikes on public transportation. Just in case though, they make a thin cover that for all intents and purposes acts as a cape to turn the folded bike into an odd piece of luggage.
