A Los Angeles Superior Court jury on Monday found Dr. Christopher Thomas Thompson guilty of assaulting cyclists by abruptly stopping his car in front of them on a hilly Los Angeles County road last year.

Mark a win for justice. Sad circumstances. I believe these people with such rage need to find an outlet like cycling is for many of us. Ive been massively frustrated being stuck in traffic and then looking for a parking spot while counting minutes so I can make the walk to class in time. Thankfully, I got a bike and now I dont worry about any of that anymore. Its my way out.
He’s looking at 10 years for multiple felony convictions. He couldn’t plead insanity? He’d still make a good poster boy for it, and the consequences – they should give him 10 years on billboards, too.
Justice is served…and sets a good precedent for future cases as well.

Justice isn’t served yet. Wait till we see sentencing…something tells me this guy MIGHT get 3 months in a minimum security prison.
I hope they put him in General Population with the rest of criminals.He should get no special treatment what so ever.

HA, its LA. With prison overcrowding the way it is, he would be unlucky if he spent more than a few days behind bars, probably a week or two.
He will spend 30 days in jail at least before sentencing. He’s at the Mens Central Jail downtown which is a hell-hole. Send him some K-Y.
