Well, I really had my hopes up for these. After reading all these reviews I think I will look elsewhere. The chrome shoes I tried were unwearable because of excessive friction around the back of the shoe. Does anybody have any advice for an alternative casual/commute bike shoe?

I just send back an DZR Ovis - the leather on these (and I guess the other DZR ones as well) is just bad. It's shiny, painted like surface wrinkles like aged old skin and feels like unstable, thin foam coming apart the next moment. Nothing close to what to expect of an +100 Euro shoe.

Very cheap look and feel indeed. Total rip-off.

@carlito Mine fell apart too. I had the velcro dzr's. They're still wearable, but the rubber came unglued all over - lets water in like crazy. I just switched to a pair of Chromes – hopefully they'll hold up better.

@Noah I contacted the warranty dept and basically got "yea that happens to the shoes. Ours do the same." They offered to look at them but I had to pay shipping and there was no guarantee they'd do anything.
