The Ride Clean Downtown Showdown is less than a fortnight away, coming up on April 12th in Phoenix. A rank amateur fixed gear crit race. No freewheels, must have brakes, must not be a racer, no whining. The winner walks away with $500 and bragging rights. This sounds like our type of race.
The course looks killer with eight corners and fresh pavement all around. Look out for Marty from Ride Clean making up smoothies on his Xtracycle, but something tells me you find any “B12″ in his concoctions. There may even be some down-low foot-down and other fixed human tricks going on after, but don’t tell the city authorities.
I hope you do okay on those corners…Especially with a fixie!
