Dos Ciclos aired at this past years Bicycle Film Festival, showing attendees some of the current riding culture in Mexico City. Lots of traffic and totally under the radar riding—not terribly different than parts of domestic bike culture. Read a short interview with the filmmakers over at The Atlantic.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, is that a fixie or a single speed? I don’t see brakes on it, but i can see him coasting at times. Insane traffic violations aside, the poetry behind this short film is amazing. Also, the scar on his right arm makes leads to me believe he should at least get a front brake on that thing.
He is riding a fixie. When you see him not pedaling, he isn’t coasting, he’s skidding.
And just to be clear (and ocd), a fixie is a single speed. It just isn’t a ‘freewheel’.
