I saw this a few days ago and fell in love with the animation style, along with the message and the non-confrontational method it is conveyed. If you drive, always look in that mirror before popping the door open. Otherwise, send this on to your driving friends and relatives and maybe help to prevent an all too common occurrence in city life.

Dude looks like Dov Charney.
Nice nod to the guys at Shadowplay–same animation style as the title sequence from Juno (complete with a rendition of the Moldy Peaches song from the end of the movie).
It looks like Eric has done some other bike awareness videos too–here’s one about why you shouldn’t roll red lights:

0:34 – Cyclist runs stop sign; the dooring is obviously his fault.
Love it!
haha brad and jeff you know the guy that helped make this, jeff ryan who moved to new york and used to play bike polo. by the way he is back in pittsburgh
I agree with Beefy. That dude deserved getting doored. He should have stopped at the stop sign.
Getting Doored sucks I am hyper-vigilant about staying far enough out in the street so it never happens again.
That’s kool
Re: beefy & paul- the stop sign wasn’t anywhere near the door and being doored can cause serious injury– why would anyone deserve it? Does a driver who cuts you off ‘deserve’ to get in a nasty crash?
